BIVID Telecom collaborates with AFANOC in the Posa't la Gorra campaign against childhood cancer
Lleida, September 2025. BIVID Telecom renews its collaboration with the Associació de Familiars i Amics de Nens Oncològics de Catalunya (AFANOC) in the annual campaign Put on your Hat, one of the most recognized initiatives in the fight against childhood cancer in Catalunya. The operator's contribution is aimed at financing the shelter programs, emotional support and financial assistance that the association offers to families with children with cancer.
What is Posa't la Gorra
Posa't la Gorra is AFANOC's flagship campaign, which every year organizes a simultaneous solidarity event in Barcelona, Lleida, Tarragona and other Catalan cities. The initiative takes a cap as its symbol: the accessory that many children undergoing cancer treatment wear to protect themselves during chemotherapy. Buying and wearing the cap is a gesture of visibility, solidarity and direct financing.
The funds raised support the services of Casa dels Xuklis (Barcelona) and support programs in Catalan pediatric hospitals, as well as family respite activities and direct financial assistance to families facing difficulties during treatment.
BIVID's continued commitment
BIVID Telecom has been collaborating with AFANOC for several years with financial contributions and institutional promotion. The collaboration is part of the operator's strategy of allocating part of its sponsorship budget to social causes with direct impact in the territory where it operates.
"There are decisions that are made with numbers and others that are made with values. Supporting AFANOC is one of the latter. When an operator can help a family with a child in treatment to have a little less burden, there is no debate possible," explains BIVID Telecom.
How to support the campaign
Posa't la Gorra is an initiative open to citizen participation. Individuals and companies can collaborate by buying the official cap, organizing awareness activities in their workplaces or making direct donations through AFANOC's website. The association also accepts volunteering collaborations for its support and family respite programs.

Support for AFANOC adds to BIVID's network of collaborations in Catalunya and the Pyrenees, which includes the Aplec del Caragol de Lleida, Força Lleida CE basketball, the Associació Amics del Turó de la Seu Vella, Balàfia Vòlei Club, Club Rítmica Almacelles, GCR Goixart Carulla Racing in motorsports and SuperPao 58 in the Women's Motorcycle World Championship.
